Virat Kohli: From being worst batsman to being India’s captain

Virat Kohli - one of the best batsmen of current generation - had a very disappointing start of his career.
19-year-old Delhi boy kohli was picked as a 'catchment' player in the first edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League.
Royal Challengers Bangalore chose Kohli as a catchment player which means he never went into an auction and was never bought by a franchise either.
Dubbed as run-machine now, Virat Kohli only scored 165 runs in 13 matches at an average of 15 in the 2008 IPL. Who could have ever imagined that this Delhi lad will significantly turn the tides in his favour with his hard-work and passion for the game.
One of the best thing about Kohli is that he learns from his mistake. You will hardly see Virat Kohli making the same mistakes over and over again on field.
While in 2008, Kohli averaged just 15, he broke all the records in 2016 and averaged 81.08 after scoring 973 runs in 16 games in that season.
Indian Premier League has so far produced many phenomenal players and Virat Kohli is one such example. The league was also created to promote local talent and it seems like the league has served its purpose.
Once picked up as a catchment player, who was yet to make his international debut, Virat Kohli now rules the cricketing world.
