IPL: Bad news for Chennai fans, CSK forced to change its home ground

Ahead of the match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday, huge protests were seen by various groups because of the Cauvery water dispute. The protestors are demanding that the matches should be shifted to another city.

In an untoward incident, a shoe was at hurled at CSK player Ravindra Jadeja during the match by a protester.

Following the developments, Chennai’s team has been asked to consider changing its home-ground as BCCI has already shortlisted four cities to conduct CSK's home matches.

These four cities are Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Pune and Rajkot. Visakhapatnam is most likely to be chosen among the four.
CSK has been asked to evaluate the current situation to take a final call in this regard. The final decision will be taken by CSK only.
CSK has made a comeback to the cash-rich IPL after serving two-year suspension on charges of spot-fixing in 2013.
