Yet another horrible run-out! What’s wrong with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma?

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and opener Rohit Sharma have got some series issues to solve. Kohli has been in a stupendous form in the current series against South Africa and it seems like he was heading to a big score once again. But, he lost his wicket in the most unfortunate way.

After losing Shikhar Dhawan (34), Rohit (115) was joined by Kohli (36) on crease. They both began to pile up runs and the scoreboard kept on moving steadily.

Rohit hit a Morne Morkel delivery and didn’t run for a single. However, Kohli had already decided to run. Rohit refused to run and Kohli was left to make his way back to the non-strikers end. The horrible mix-up cost India the valuable wicket of Virat Kohli.

This is for the seventh time that Kohli and Rohit were involved in run-out. Batting with each other, Kohli has been run-out five times and Rohit twice. These numbers speak volumes. It seems that they both need to work a lot together so that there is no room left for wrong judgement when it comes to running between the wickets. There is a long way to go, indeed.
