REVEALED: Here's why MS Dhoni was chosen as India Captain in 2007!

There is definitely no doubt about the captaincy skills of MS Dhoni. Even though he has given up captaincy in all three formats of cricket, his presence on the field with so much experience always comes in handy for the current skipper Virat Kohli.

The reins of Indian crickets is the hands of Kohli who is constantly guided MS Dhoni.

Dhoni didn't only win many series for India, but led India to victory in all three ICC tournaments - ICC World T20 (2007), ICC World Cup (2011) and ICC Champions Trophy (2013).

There was a time when Indian team was struggling in finding its ground. The team was going through a really dark phase and Dhoni came as brightest hope.

The former Indian captain was selected as the captain when he was just 20-year-old and now finally he has open up about the same.

"I was not part of the conversation when I was made the captain of the team. I feel that looking at everything, maybe it was the honesty that I had, and my ability to read the game," said MS Dhoni.

Well, we are indeed pleased that he was given this opportunity.
