Ind vs NZ, 1st T20I: Rohit Sharma Wicket Mystery: Was he out or not out?




Men-in-blue had a blast in the first innings at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi against New Zealand. Openers Shikhar Dhawan (80) and Rohit Sharma (80) entertained the crowd with their terrific shots and skipper Virat Kohli pushed India past the 200 mark at the end. New Zealand is required to score 203 runs to win the first match of the three-match T20 series.

Apart from the huge sixes and mind-blowing batting performances, Rohit Sharma's wicket will be discussed the most. It took two attempts to declare the batsman out.

Trent Boult bowled to Rohit and he was caught by the wicketkeeper Latham. It was difficult to access whether Rohit's bat made contact with the ball or not, so umpires Nitin Menon and Shamsuddin decided to send it upstairs. The third umpire declared Rohit Sharma not-out, but wait the tale doesn't end here.

After the umpire review, confident New Zealand decided to take the team review. The ultra edge finally revealed that the bat had actually touched the ball. Well, the high voltage drama unfolded and the Indian batsman was at last given out.
