India has a golden chance to become Number 1 in ODIs



Virat Kohli led Indian team will have a golden opportunity in hand when it faces Australia in the upcoming five-match ODI series that is slated to begin from 17 September.

India has a chance to replace South Africa which is positioned at the number 1 spot in ICC ODI Rankings. Like India, Steve Smith's Australia will also aim for the top spot as both the team share 117 points in the tally, while South Africa has 119 points.

If India wins the series by a margin of 4-1 or better, it will move up to the 1st positions. Same goes for Australia. Therefore, both the sides will look forward to registering a 4-1 or better win.

Here is the schedule for ODI series:

September 17: First ODI, Chennai

September 21: Second ODI, Kolkata

September 24: Third ODI, Indore

September 28: Fourth ODI, Bangalore

October 1: Fifth ODI, Nagpur
