India vs Sri Lanka, 4th ODI: MS Dhoni on the verge of creating history yet again!

Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to play his 300th One Day International match on Thursday as India will play its fourth ODI against Sri Lanka.

The pillar of strength for the Indian cricket team, Dhoni is definitely aging like a fine wine. While there had been a lot of discussions about whether he should play World Cup 2019 or not, we at Cricket Unplugged believe that India is not ready to go without a player like Dhoni.

The 36-year-old cricketer has not only contributed with bat but his records as a wicket keeper are also phenomenal. Apart from Dhoni, legendary Indian players like - Sachin Tendulkar (363), Rahul Dravid (344), Mohammad Azharuddin (334), Sourav Ganguly (311) and Yuvraj Singh (302) – have also crossed the mark of 300 ODI matches.

4. Dhoni has record 40 unbeaten innings in successful ODI chases.

5. He shares the record for most not-outs in ODIs with Chaminda Vaas and Shaun Pollock at 72.

6. Dhoni, who is known for his monstrous sixes, is only the fifth batsman to hit more than 200 sixes in ODIs.
