India vs West Indies: MS Dhoni's record that he doesn't want you to know

The fearless Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who knows how to send a ball out of boundary easily, has created a record which doesn't go with his reputation.

Hard-hitter Dhoni (54 off 114 balls), ironically, scored the slowest half-century of his career during the fourth ODI against West Indies. The hosts were able to make a remarkable comeback in the game after posting a small target as they defeated Indian by 11 runs at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on 2 July.

India was in dire need of Dhoni's natural game but he couldn't find many gaps. The run-rate kept on surging and the wickets kept on falling while Dhoni was standing rock-steady.

Dhoni's slowest fifty came in the 46th over off 108 balls. It is the slowest half-century scored in ODIs in last 16 years by any Indian. His knock had only 1 four and no sixes, while his strike rate was 47.36.

Apart from Dhoni, only Ajinkya Rahane (60 off 91 balls) could score some runs for India. Both the half-centuries went in vain as India were all out at 178 in 49.4 overs, 11 runs short of the target.
