Rahul Dravid once lost his temper and threw a chair in the Dressing room

Rahul Dravid, popularly known as the Wall, is one of the most respected gentlemen of the game. His poised attitude on the field is widely appreciated. If there is any batsman who knows how to shield emotions perfectly and reflect sportsmanship at all times, it is Rahul Dravid.

Even though Mr Cool Dravid remained successful in maintaining composure almost always, it has now been revealed that he lost his temper once.

After losing a Test match against England in Mumbai in 2006, Dravid threw a chair in the Dressing room.

India were at a good place as the team had to chase a target of 313 in the 4th innings of 3rd Test match but the team collapsed and was restricted at 100 runs by English bowlers. This defeat leveled the 3 match series by 1-1.

It became difficult for Dravid to hide his disappointment with the performance and he unleashed his anger by throwing a chair in the dressing room.

Dravid's wife, Vijeeta, gave an account of the incident on Espn cricinfo and wrote, "He has dealt with all that goes on in cricket becauCricinfon separate the game and the rest of his life and put things in perspective. No matter what was happening in his cricket, at home he is husband, father, family man. He has never said, "Oh I've had a bad day." He wouldn't speak about his work unless asked. Other than dropped catches. Only once, I remember, he returned from a Test and said, "I got a bit angry today. I lost my temper. Shouldn't have done that." He wouldn't say more. Many months later, Viru (Virendra Sehwag) told me that he'd actually thrown a chair after a defeat to England in Mumbai.“He'd thrown the chair, Viru said, not because the team had lost but because they had lost very badly." she wrote.
