It was the semi-final match of T20 World Cup 2014 when the universe conspired once again and the world's best finisher MS Dhoni got a chance to score the winning runs. However, what happened next is something that displayed his true sportsmanship.
India had been on the verge of beating South Africa riding on Virat Kohli's unbeaten half-century when Dhoni walked-in after the dismissal of Suresh Raina.
Kohli ran for a run and Dhoni came on strike when only one run was required by the men-in-blue to win. Both the players shared a light moment on-field after this run as they exchanged smiles.
The crowd roared and anticipated that their favourite finisher will once again hit a six but Dhoni ends up blocking the ball to gift the much deserved 'winning runs' to that match's star player Kohli.
The run-machine, Kohli, had later expressed his gratitude towards Dhoni for his commendable gesture.
