Find out who is the first and only Indian to hit century on World Cup debut

Current Indian captain Virat Kohli has carved his way to the international cricket with the help of phenomenal batting performances at various stages.

At the young age of 28, Virat Kohli has become the living nightmare of bowlers playing against him. He has got way too many records registered in his name and many more are yet to come.

The run-machine is the first and only Indian to score a century in a World Cup debut match. Kohli scored an unbeaten 100 against Bangladesh in the opening match of the tournament at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in 2011.

Kohli along with Virender Sehwag (175) put up a 203-run stand for the third wicket and helped India to script their first victory of the tournament. The rest is history.

Kohli's record inning included eight fours and two sixes.
