This quiz is making cricket fanatics go crazy. Do you think you can crack it?

If are a cricket aficionado, then you must have come across the crazy quiz being widely shared on social media.

The quiz question is confusing and opens up a window for more than one possible answer.

The question involves a scenario where two batsmen are playing at the score of 94 each. The team require only 7 runs to win on 3 balls. They both score centuries and also they both 'remain not out.' Tricky, isn't?

The cricket fans usually don't focus on all the details and come up with the most expected answer – One player hits a six, then gets run out giving the strike to the other player following which the second player also hits a six. Well, this is, of course, a wrong answer because both the players have to score unbeaten centuries.

Cricket Unplugged tried to crack the piece and came up with two scenarios:

Let's mention both the players as P1 and P2 here

1. The first player P1 hits a six and then gets retired hurt. The new player is dismissed following a run out that resulted in rotation of strike. Now when the second player P2 is on strike, he hits a six.

2. What if the match-overs have been reduced because of rains. Let's say that the match has been reduced to 45.2 overs. Now, the last three balls of the match mean, one ball of the 45th over and two balls of the new over. P1 easily hits a six and then the strike is passed on to P2 as over has ended. This way P2 also hits a six and both the players score unbeaten 100s.

Comments

  1. P1 hits the ball and it strikes with keepers hamlet it will be awarded with 5 runs on next ball p1 gets single and strike is given to p2 and p2 hits sixes and both complete 100s
