The future of Indian cricket team is
surely bright as the team is being led by Virat Kohli. India has had
its share of great captains but apart from Kohli, if you talk about
two best captains in modern age then only the names of Sourav Ganguly
and Mahendra Singh Dhoni pop up.
While captain cool Dhoni was known for
his experimental approach to the game, it was Ganguly who infused
undying energy in the team.
All the three captains – Ganguly,
Dhoni and Kohli – have one common fact which is quite amusing. If
the pages of record book are searched, then you will see that the
highest individual ODI score of the trio is same – 183.
* Ganguly scored 183 runs (7 sixes and
17 fours) vs Sri Lanka in 1999 at Taunton. India won the match by 159
runs.
* MS Dhoni also hit 183* runs (10 sixes
and 15 fours) vs Sri Lanka in 2005 at Jaipur. India won the match by
6 wickets.
* Virat Kohli smashed 183 runs (2 sixes
and 22 fours) vs Pakistan in 2012 at Dhaka. India won the match.
