Bollywood's Khiladi, Akshay Kumar,
visited the Lords International Stadium on 23 July to support the
Indian women's cricket team in the world cup final match against
England.
Akshay Kumar cheered for the
women-in-blue in full swing but something went terribly wrong from
his end.
The actor posted a picture on Twitter
in which he can be seen waving the national flag upside down. He
later admitted that it was a mistake and that he didn't intend to
offend anyone.
After apologizing for the unintentional
blunder, Akshay deleted the picture from his Twitter account and
said, “Extending my sincerest apology for violating the code of
conduct for the tricolor. Didn't mean to offend anyone, the picture
has been removed.”
The women-in-blue lost the nail-biting
final match by 9 runs. Even though they lost the match, they are
being praised for their fighting spirit and commendable efforts
throughout the tournament.
